Obituary

Salvatore Angelo, passed away at his Woburn home on Friday morning, May 23, at the age of 80. He was the husband of Rose (Pennachio).

Born and raised in East Boston he was the son of the late Mary (Catlanotto) and Joseph Angelo. Sal retired from Baird Corporation of Bedford where he worked for a number of years as a machinist. He was a member of the Woburn YMCA where he enjoyed exercising and being with his friends. He also enjoyed gardening and working with and collecting model trains. Sal also served in the US Navy during World War II, in the Asiatic–Pacific theater of operations.

In addition to his wife Rose, Sal is survived by his two sons: Bob Angelo and his wife Patricia and Salvatore Angelo Jr. and his wife Nancy all of Woburn, two daughters; Mary Prince and her husband Thomas of Melrose and Karen Angelo of Wilmington. Also ten loving grandchildren. A brother Ben Angelo of Burlington and a sister Nancy Lombardo of Woburn. He is predeceased by a brother Frank Angelo.

His funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn on Tuesday, May 27, at 9 AM., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn at 10. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Visiting Hours at the funeral home on Monday, May 26, from 4 thru 8 p.m.
