In Taunton, January 27, 2009 Olive (Avilla) O’Leary-Lauzon died at Marion Manor Nursing Home in Taunton at the age of 93. She was the wife of the late Charles O’Leary and Lucien Lauzan. Born and educated in Raynham, Olive was the daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Roposa) Avilla. Olive belonged to the Morton Hospital Retirees and was also a member of the Holy Family Woman’s Guild in East Taunton. She resided on Red Lane in East Taunton and the later moved to Summer Street in Taunton. Olive was employed at Morton Hospital in Taunton as a House Keeping Supervisor retiring in 1978. She was the mother of Mary Ann Medeiros and her husband Dennis of Dighton, Marguerite Costa and her husband Allan, Patricia Hannon and her husband Martin of Chelmsford and Michael O’Leary and his wife Betty of Assonet. Grandmother of Eleven Grandchildren and sever Great Grandchildren. Sister of the late Mary Pires, Rose Faria, Alice Ferreira and John Avilla. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Saturday January 31st at 10 am. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 11 am. Calling hours will be on Friday from 1-4 pm. Interment St. James Cemetery in East Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Olive’s memory may be made to Holy Family Capital Campaign, P.O.
