Ricky Dale Taylor, 52, of Tifton died Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Szturday, January 31, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Dan Robinson will officiate with a private burial to follow at a later date. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Taylor was born on February 28, 1956 in Tift County and was the son of Mary Sue Chambliss Taylor of Tifton and the late William "Bill" Taylor. He was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Navy for four years and had lived at his current address for 8 1/2 years.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Taylor is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy and Candice Taylor of Moultrie, Casey Taylor of Norman Park, and Patrick and Cindy Canady of Moultrie; one brother, Tony Taylor of Clarksville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Shirley and Roger Claunch of Tifton and Bonnie Bridwell of German Town, Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Brady Canady of Moultrie and Callie Canady of Moultrie.
