RAYNHAM — Evelyn (DaSilva) Perry, a former Taunton resident for over forty six years, died Monday, January 26th 2009 at Life Care Center of Raynham after a lengthy illness. She was eighty four years of age. Mrs. Perry was a former Taunton resident, who lived on Thrasher Street for many years. She was born in Fall River. Daughter of the late Manuel DaSilva and Mary Anna (Vieira) DaSilva. She was the wife of the late William Perry. She was employed as a factory worker for Fairfield Optical in Mansfield for eight years. She also worked at Raytheon. She was educated in Fall River schools. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, country music, traveling, and loved her grandchildren. She is survived by ten daughters, Rene Lewis of Taunton, Brenda Brown of Taunton, Joanne Moranville of Warren, NH, Belinda Sylvester of Taunton, Mary Thomas of Brockton, Deborah Perry and Dorothy Perry both of Taunton, Gertrude Perry and Evelyn Cochran both of Fall River, Charlene Ormonde of Middleboro, and the late William Perry. She also leaves forty four grandchildren,twenty three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11:30am at the Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St. (off Tremont St). Relatives and Friends invited to attend. Visiting Hours on Thursday from 5-8pm. Burial at Mayflower Hill Cemetery. Donations in her name maybe made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen St Framingham, Ma 01702.
