BEVERLY: Judith D. (Leach) Kelley, 53, died Monday evening, January 26, 2009 in the Salem Hospital following an extended illness. She was the wife of Joseph W. Kelley.
Born in Peabody on August 9, 1955, she was the daughter of Janet D. (LaPointe)Leach of Beverly and the late Harold M. Leach. She had resided in Beverly most of her life before moving to Peabody in 2004. Judy was a graduate of Beverly High School class of 1973 and the Youville Hospital School of Nursing in Cambridge.
She was employed as a licensed practical nurse at the Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Danvers and the Rainbow Nursing Home in Peabody for many years.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Darci B. LaMontagne of Danvers and Tiffany A. LaMontagne of Beverly, a son, Justin M. LaMontagne of Peabody, a grandson, Daniel J. Donahue of Beverly, a sister, Lucille and her husband, Robert Fabri of Beverly, two stepsons, Timothy J. and Sean O. Kelley, an aunt and uncle, Barbara and Paul Corning of NH and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her sister, Susan Hatch.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday in the St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly at 9 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 6 – 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The Wilson House, P.O. Box 46, East Dorset, VT 05253. Interment will be held in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly.
