Obituary

WEBSTER - Richard J. Amour, 79, of Webster, died Saturday, January 24, at Oakwood Rehab & Nursing Center with his family at his side.

He leaves his wife of 39 years, Jean A. (White) Amour; 5 children, Linda and her husband Rick Hilliard of Lawrenceville, GA, Frederick “Eddie” St. Amour of Doraville, GA, Nancy Graham and her husband Bert of Pensacola, FL, Nancy Dame of Webster, and William Dame and his wife Denise of Laconia, NH; a brother, Albert “Diddy” Amour and his wife Stella of South Grafton; 2 sisters, Loretta Raymond and her husband Roger and Florence Krula and her husband Stanley, all of Zephar Hills, FL; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and nephews and nieces.

He was born in the Saundersville section of Grafton, the youngest child of Frederick and Albina (Caplette) Amour. He lived in Sutton for many years and Millbury for 10 years before moving to Webster in 2007.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Amour was a heavy equipment operator for R. H. White Construction Company in Worcester for 51 years, retiring at age 71.

He was member of the Dudley Gendron American Legion Post # 414 in Sutton for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing. Above all, he treasured his family.

At his request, no funeral services are planned. There are no calling hours. Donations in his memory may be made to Oakwood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Patient Activities Fund, 11 Pontiac Avenue, Webster, MA 01570. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
