In East Taunton, January 25, 2009 Janice L. “Conway”age 56 died unexpectedly at home after a brief illness. Janice is survived by her husband Christopher Johnson of East Taunton. Janice is survived by her mother Jean “Vaughan” Conway of Taunton and her late father Thomas Conway. She was born in Taunton and has lived here her entire life. She was educated in Taunton schools and later graduated from Southeastern Nursing School with honors. Janice worked at Morton Hospital and various local nursing homes with compassion and devotion to her occupation. Janice is a former member of Union Local #721, she drove stock cars, enjoyed gardening, cooking, horses, traveling to NH., Maine and N.C.. She also taught children’s Sunday school in Holy Family Church. Janice is survived by her children Christopher, currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corp & his wife Jennifer Rose and Jennifer L. Johnson & her companion Lee Holt of Taunton. Her siblings Kathleen Conway, Kenneth Conway both of Taunton and the late Michael “Porky” Conway. Her grandchildren Ryleigh Johnson and Troy Holt of Taunton. Her Godson Matthew Mirka of Taunton. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Saturday, Jan. 31st at 8am. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 9am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday from 5-8pm. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
