Mrs. Arita Tarantino, age 94 of Saugus died Sunday in the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford. She was the wife of the late Gaetano Tarantino.
Mrs. Tarantino was born in Boston, daughter of the late Joseph and Vinceza (Frontiera) Lucido. She was a resident of Saugus for over 25 years and Medford for more than 46 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Jo-anne Petrucci and her husband Ken of Newburyport, and a son Joseph Tarantino of Medford. She is the mother of the late Francis Tarantino. Grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Frances Bruno, Jennie Scola, Giacomo, Salvatore and Gasper Lucido. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 thru 8 at Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Her funeral mass will be held at St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, Wednesday at 10:00 am.
