JANE M. (THIBODEAU) FOSTER , 61, of Hingham, died on Saturday, Jan. 24th, 2009 at the Boston Medical Center. She was born in Springfield, MA and came to Hingham 33 years ago. She was a graduate of Emmanuel College and an Administrative Assistant for State Street Financial Services in Boston. Ms Foster was a longtime parishioner of the Church of St. John the Evangelist in Hingham, a member of the Gold Star Wives, and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity who participated in a Habitat building project in El Salvador.
She leaves her daughter, Janie C. Marlatt and her husband Geoffrey and her 5 grandchildren; Jim, Katie, Emily, Colleen and Bobby all of Clarksville, MD. She is also survived by her parents, Maurice B. and Marie L. (Larabee) Thibodeau of Springfield, MA; her sister, Anne Higgins of Bloomfield, CT, her mother-in-law, Mary Crowley of Buzzards Bay, her former husband, Thomas S. Foster formerly of Hingham and sister-in-law, Barbara Collins of Weymouth and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Lt. James A. Crowley, II.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 28th at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 172 Main St., Hingham.
Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St,.Hingham on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 28 River St., Braintree, MA 02184 or to the ALS Association, Mass. Chapter, 320 Norwood Park South, 2nd Floor, Norwood, MA 02062.
Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield, MA.
