Helen T. Arthur, 68, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M., Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Ocilla with the Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Arthur was born August 7, 1940 in Long Branch, New Jersey to the late John Vincent and Helen Marie Applegate Gaynor. She was a homemaker and had lived in the community since 1994 coming from New Jersey. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her husband: Billy Arthur of Ocilla; children and their spouses: Kim Arthur Feiling & John of Freehold, New Jersey, William Gene Arthur of Long Branch, New Jersey, Wayne Joseph Arthur & Julie of Ocilla, and William Glenn Arthur & Geri of Maryville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; brother and sisters: John & Agnes Gaynor of Cocoa, Florida, Nancy & Jack Fletcher of Inverness, Florida, and Judy & Earl Layton of Clermont, Florida and a brother-in-law: Rich Aldridge of Miami, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Tommy Gaynor and a sister: Janet Gaynor Aldridge.
