Obituary

Itala (Iadinardi) Taddeo, 81, of Franklin died peacefully Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, following a long illness. She was the loving wife of Biagino "Benny" Taddeo for more than 62 years.
Born in Santa Maria del Molise, Italy, March 13, 1927, a daughter of the late Michael and Antoinette (Vendetti) Iadinardi, she lived in Franklin since coming to America in 1958.
Mrs. Taddeo worked for a short period of time as a stitcher for the former Whiting & Davis Co. in Plainville. She was also a longtime communicant of St. Mary Church.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by a son, Elio and his wife, Maria (Bertone) Taddeo, of Franklin; two daughters, Rosalba McWilliam and her husband, Alex, and Antoinette and her husband, Brian Finnegan, all of Franklin; a brother, Angelo Iadinardi and his wife, Catarina of Montreal, Canada; a sister, Sandy D'Errico and her husband, Rocco of Bellingham; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Ben and Mark Taddeo, Gina McWilliam, Kelly, Joe and Judy Finnegan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Flavio Taddeo of Wrentham, who died July 21, 2008.
Itala loved cooking for anyone who walked in, and welcomed everyone to her home. Her love of family, plants and animals was obvious everywhere you looked. Her kindness, generosity and gentle manner was felt by everyone who met her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday, at 8:15 a.m., from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., www.franklinfuneral.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, at 9 a.m.
Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m.
