Obituary

Laurier J. Auger 87, of Prospect St., died Tuesday in Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He was the husband of Antoinette (Beliveau) Auger. Mr. Auger was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Maurice and Exerile (Brouillard) Auger. He was the owner and operator of the former Auger Furniture Co. Inc. for sixty years retiring in 1987. Mr. Auger was a WWII Army Veteran.

Mr. Auger is survived by three sons, Maurice Auger of N. Smithfield, Richard Auger of Woonsocket, and Marc Auger of Burrillville, two daughters Jeannine Auger of Blackstone, and Diane Blakeney of Fryeburg, ME, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Raoul Auger, Sr. Cecile Auger PM, and Marie Marcotte.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Precious Blood Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Northern RI Hematology/ Oncology Program, 115 Cass Ave, Woonsocket, RI 02895, in his memory would be appreciated.
