Esther M. (Litterio) O’Leary, 86, of Hudson, died Wednesday, Jan. 21st at Apple Valley Center in Ayer. She was the wife of the late Albert O’Leary who died in 1988.
Born in Clinton, daughter of the late James and Mary (Ambrosino) Litterio, she was a former telephone operator for the New England Telephone Co. and later Verizon in Marlboro and was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.
She is survived by her children, Maureen Penniman and husband Edward of Hudson, Patricia Clouter and husband Stephen of Bolton and Richard O’Leary and wife Dorothy of Clinton; her daughter-in-law, Judith O’leary of Clinton and her sister-in-law, Dorothy McGlincey of West Newfield, ME. She also leaves her sister, Stella McNamara of Clinton; her brother Joseph and Lawrence Litterio, both of Clinton, and brother, Thomas Litterio of Sterling; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son Ronald O’Leary in 1997 and grandson Richard O’Leary Jr.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 12:00 noon in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Jan. 23 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
