NEW BEDFORD — Marjorie Louise (Bower) Fletcher, age 79, of New Bedford, died at home on Sunday, January 18, 2009, after an extended illness. She was the wife of the late John Alfred Fletcher.
Born in England, daughter of the late Norman and Elizabeth Ann (Hardgroves) Bower, she came to live in this country in 1962. When living in England, she was a ballroom dance instructor.
Her greatest love was her granddaughter, Alison.
She is survived by her sons, Derek Edward Fletcher and his wife, Carol of Mattapoisett and Ian Martin Fletcher and his wife, Gwen of New Bedford; and one granddaughter, Alison Fletcher.
Her arrangements are private with the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford.
