Marcia Anne Goode Viering, 67, Clarksville, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009, after a long battle with cancer, at Skyline Alive Hospice, Madison, TN. The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Brother Tom Payne officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the hour of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born July 6, 1941 in Bangor, ME. daughter of the late Orren and Lois Goode of Hampden, ME. Mrs. Viering was a retired RN of 35 years, and enjoyed her retirement, travel, and family. Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Jerry Viering; daughters, Patricia Eldridge (Rory) of Clarksville; Danine Getchell (companion Junior Stickles) of Stafford, VA; son, Martin Viering (companion Kate McCoubrey) of Stuart, FL; brothers, Roger Goode (Nancy); Durwin Goode (the late Linda) and Loren Goode (Jeanie); sister, Gloria Jordon (Raymond) all from Maine; and three wonderful granddaughters, Nicole, Alexis, and Lindsey Eldridge. Marcia had many friends in the Northern Virginia and Bangor-Brewer Maine areas. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to either the Susan G.
