Emma C. O’Brien

TEWKSBURY - Emma C. (Carnes) Obrien, 92, died Thursday morning, Jan. 3, at the Center forOptimum Care in Wakefield. She was the wife of Thomas F. O’Brien, who died in 1997.

She was born in Malden, March 25, 1909, the daughter of the late James and Edith (O’Connor)Carnes. She was a lifelong resident of Malden, and had retired from Converse (Rubber)Company.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Malden, and a member of the Society of Maryin Medford.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mae and Roy Deveau of Andover, one grandson,Jeffrey and his wife Kerry (Quinlan) Deveau of Andover, and one great grandson, ThomasDeveau of Andover.

Her Funeral Mass was held Monday, Jan. 7, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Interment was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
