Obituary

Mrs. Marianna Faretra, 69 of Medford died on Sunday in Lawrence Memorial Hospital Medford. She was the wife of Fiore Faretra with whom she shared more than 45 wonderful years of marriage. Mrs. Faretra was born and educated in Italy, daughter of the late Antonio and Rosina (Lanza) Pascucci. She had worked as a seamstress, employed in the garment industry making quality ladies dresses. A communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, in her spare time she loved to cook, garden and spend quality time with her family. Family meant the world to her. As one of 10 children herself, she was often referred to as the peacemaker. Mrs. Faretra was a kind and gentle woman with a unique personality that would light up a room and the ability to turn a house into a home. She is survived by three daughters: Maria Faretra of Medford, Laura Tivnan and her husband David of Malden and Carla Faretra of Medford. Loving sister of Yolanda Martiniello of Wilmington, Olympia Visconti of East Boston, Giovannina Roselli of Medford, Mario Pascucci of Woburn, Michele Pascucci of Melrose, Joseph Pascucci of Stoneham, Antonio Pascucci of East Boston, Gennardo Pascucci of Italy and the late Tommoso Pascucci. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Her Funeral will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, Thursday at 9:00 am. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Everett.
