Frank C. Ternullo, of Brewster, formerly of Somerville, died unexpectedly at home on January 10th. He was 55.
Frank was raised in Somerville and attended Somerville schools and graduated from Boston State College. He enjoyed a 30 years career with the Federal Aviation Administration as an air traffic controller, until his retirement this past fall. After completing training in Oklahoma, he served in Fargo, North Dakota for five years, before transferring to Otis on Cape Cod for the rest of his career. Frank was a man with a wide variety of interests. He was a fan of all professional and collegiate sports, but had a special love for the Red Sox. He enjoyed traveling especially to Mexico and Las Vegas. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed the company of his many friends.
He was the cherished son of Stacia “Stella” (Polonka) Ternullo of West Yarmouth and the late Frank. He was a beloved brother to Vincent Ternullo and his wife Sharon of Londonderry, NH. He was a loving uncle to Lisa Darling of Freemont, NH and Amy Pearson of Somersworth NH. He was a devoted great-uncle of Hannah Ternullo, Ethan Pearson and Erica Darling. He was a dear nephew to Helen and Dominic Bongiovanni of Braintree, Sarah Engrassia of Somerville and the late Charles Ternullo.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Tuesday, January 20th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, Medford/Somerville at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
