Rachel P. Wood, 66, of Summerville, widow of David L. Wood, Jr. died Friday, January 16, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 18, 2009 at 4 o’clock at Salem Baptist Church, Summerville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 3 o’clock until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Salem Baptist Church Building Fund, 321 Old Summerville Road, Summerville, South Carolina 29483.
Mrs. Wood was born July 21, 1942 in Johnston County, North Carolina, daughter of Joshua and Annie Taylor of Wendell, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Corinth Holders High School. She was a discipleship director and church photographer at Salem Baptist Church.

Step Daughter: Mary Ann Babo and husband Lee of Hanahan
