Lawrence, MA – Alvina M. (MacVicar) Peterson, 94, died Thursday January 15, 2009 at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Alvina was born June 18, 1914 in New Brunswick, Canada the daughter of John W. and Mildred (Allaby) MacVicar.
For many years Mrs. Peterson had been employed with the Arlington Mills as a Speeder Hand, and most recently as a Tester with ITT for 12 years.
Alvina had been an active member of First Calvary Baptist Church of North Andover for many years.
A longtime resident of Lawrence Mrs Peterson was the widow of Carl A. Peterson.
Survivors include her nieces, and nephews ; Elizabeth DiZazzo of Newburyport, Alice Lawrence of Methuen, Edwin MacVicar of New York, Lorraine Sunderland of Methuen, David Coupe of Raymond, NH, and several great, and great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with the burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 8:45-10:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
