Graveside Services will be held on Monday May 19, 2003 at 1:45 pm in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Arrangements by J. Frank Conley Funeral Home,138 Belmont street(Rte123) Brockton, MA.Visitation after the graveside and Tuesday 7 to 9 pm in the home of Charlotte and Jeweles Kaplan in Needham Mass. Donations in his memory of may be made to a charity of ones choice.
Robert Arthur died Friday at Life Care Center in West Bridgewaterafter a lengthy illness. Born in Boston, son of the late Coleman and Doris (Goodman) Cohen. Educated in Boston Schools. During the Korean Conflict he served in the US Army. He was a well known artist in Brockton and Boston for famous paintings such as Rocky Marciano and other famous sports figures. He enjoyed teaching art classes and playing all kinds of sports also avid sports fan and he also designed Murials for restaurants and night clubs.
Survived by a son Alan Arthur of Lawrence, KS and a daughter Phyllis Reddick of E. Bridgewater, a sister of Charlotte Kaplanof Needham. Former husband of Bernice Arthur of Holbrook.and special friend of Alicia Pawlowski of Whitman and many nieces and nephews.
