Angelina Covelle, a resident of Wilmington since 1938, passed away at her home early Monday morning after a extended illness. The wife of the late Erminio Covelle she was ninety-three years old.
Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Ermina (Festa) and Angelo DĀ“Ambrosio. She was raised in Boston and moved to Wilmington after her marriage.
She dedicated herself to raising her family and loved her grandchildren, She enjoyed farming, and raising chickens and eggs during Wold War II.
Surviving are her daughter Charlotte Grasso and her husband Gennaro of Wilmington. Her grandson Erminio Grasso of Wilmington, her grand daughter Leonina Russo and her husband John of Peabody. A sister Thelma DiPietro of Medford and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Erminio and four sisters Adeline Solano, Sue Ragucci, Carmela Lento and Louise Ferrara, two brothers Angelo and Anthony DĀ“Ambrosio.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, on Monday, May 19, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St. Woburn at 10. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
