Mina (Belyea) Watts passed away at the age of 88 in her home on Tuesday , December 30, 2008. She was the beloved wife for 56 years of the late Robert W. Watts Jr., Mina was born in West Virginia and lived in North Dakota before settling in Massachusetts. She graduated from Hyde Park High School before attending Gordon College where she received her BA. Mrs. Watts returned to school in midlife to receive her MA sigma cum laude from Bridgewater State College in Education. She ultimately worked as a staff psychologist at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute at Bridgewater for 13 years after working as a substitute teacher for the Weymouth Public School system for many years. Mina was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of N. Abington, loved her Scottish heritage and spent her summers in Belle River, PEI Canada. She is survived by her son, Robert W. Watts III of S. Weymouth, her sister, Margaret Nichols Locke of Reading, her grandson, Stephen Robert Watts of Brockton and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of N. Abington, 219 Adams St, N. Abington on Sunday January 18 at 1:30 P.M.
