Marie C. Taylor, 80, Clarksville, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Father Micky Richaud officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens . Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from noon until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born December 3, 1928 in Central City, KY, daughter of the late Burney Carneal and Mary Lou Head Carneal. She was also preceded in death by a son, Marvin Carroll Marshall. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Mrs. Taylor was former co-owner of Mid South Insurance, co-owner of Taylor Subaru, and owner of Clarksville Boat and Motors. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Horace Taylor; son, Robert Taylor, Utica, NY; daughter, Denise Rager, Clarksville, three grandchildren, James Douglas Evans, Joshua Ryan Rager, and Cheree Federico; one great-grandchild, Natalie Marie Evans. Pallbearers will be Tracy Taylor, Jimmy Nealy, Clyde Nealy, Ronnie Alvarez, James Evans, Joshua Rager, Jerry Rager, and Jack Mitchell.
