Louise E. (Vincent) Martin, 78 of Woonsocket died Saturday in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Lucien G. Martin. Mrs. Martin was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late William and Dorina (Gagnon) Vincent. Mrs. Martin was a 1948 graduate of Woonsocket High School. She worked as a receptionist for Martin Landscaping for twenty five years before retiring. She had previously worked as an operator for NE Telephone, and a few years in retail for Nyanza Department Store and Mademoiselle’s.
Mrs. Martin is survived by two daughters Marie Martin-Gomes and her husband Kevin of Woonsocket, and Joan Brannan and her husband Scott Harris of Harrisville, two grandchildren Jeffrey and Aimee Brannan, a sister Claire (Vincent) Murray and her husband Russell of Uxbridge, MA and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyr’s Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting hours are Thursday 6-9 PM.
