TEWKSBURY - Jeanne H. (Preckol) Yutkins, age 85, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 13, at Blairehouse of Tewksbury after a brief illness. She was born on October 20, 1923 in Boston, a daughter of the late Alexander and Eva (Szocik) Preckol. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley J. Yutkins who died in 1996. She was raised in Boston's West End, resided in Somerville for fifty-two years before moving to Tewksbury in 2001.
She retired from Shawmut Bank where she had been employed for twenty-two years. In her retirement, she had been a frequent visitor to the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In Center, a member of the Golden Age Club, the Tewksbury-Wilmington Emblem Club, and Tewksbury Red Hatters. She was formerly a communicant of St. Catherine's Parish in Somerville and more recently a communicant of St. William's Parish. She loved to travel throughout the United States, had been on twenty-three cruises, and especially enjoyed Las Vegas, NV.
She is survived by seven children and their spouses; Stanley C. and his wife Maryann Yutkins of Burlington, Jeanne T. (Yutkins) and her husband David Ryan of Coconut Creek, FL,
Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Yutkins) Pelletier of Lanesboro, Joseph P. and his wife Ellen Yutkins of Billerica, Richard F. and his wife Joan Yutkins of Billerica, Eva M. Yutkins-Kennedy and her husband Jack Kennedy of Tewksbury, and Helen T. (Yutkins) and her husband Scott Berry of Somerville; a sister, Mary Urbanowicz of Somerville, a brother Joseph and his wife Lillian Preckol of Woburn; seventeen grandchildren, nine great grand children, many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was the sister of the late Peter and his wife the late Adeline Preskul and the late Stella Preckol.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 16, at 10:00 A.M., in St. William's Church, 1351 Main Street, Tewksbury. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Bourne (Cape Cod), MA, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
