Obituary

Virginia L. “Ginny” (Rapp) Jaynes, 65 years, of Brockton died January 10, 2009 after a brief illness. She was the wife of Edward “Kojak” Jaynes. Born, raised and educated in New Jersey, she had been a resident of Brockton since 1974. Ginny was the most unselfish person who put everyone else’s needs before her own. She enjoyed time at the beach, swimming and family outings but most of all she loved her family and her home.

She is also survived by two sons, Edward Jaynes, Jr. and his wife Deanne of Brockton and Charles Jaynes of Bridgewater; eight grandchildren Bobby Jaynes, Karen Johnson, Helena Johnson, Ervin Johnson, Jr., Kevin Jaynes, Jasmine Jaynes, Edward Jaynes, III and Daryl Tavares; four great grandchildren Serenity, Miracle, Catharine and Isabella and her best friend who was like a sister, Ruth Hoppe of Brockton. She was the mother of the late Sharon Johnson.

Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 11am. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8pm.
