Obituary

Born in Boston, he is the son of Jane F. (Sibert) and John A. Marquardo of Medford, John attended grammar school in Medford, later moving to Winchester he attended Winchester High School, after he married Denise they moved to Wilmington and later to Woburn for the last nineteen years.

John has been disabled for a number of years, but enjoyed fresh water fishing for Salmon and in particular ice fishing at Horn Pond, in Woburn. He was a avid collector of baseball cards and was a World History buff, especially World War History. He was adored by his wife and children and will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to his wife Denise, and his parents, are his daughter Karen Marquardo of Woburn, his two sons; Vincent Marquardo of Woburn and Christopher Harmon of Melrose. A sister Catherine Carapellucci of Lynnfield and James Marquardo of Medford. He is predeceased by his brother Vincent Marquardo.

His funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, on Saturday, May 17, at 8:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn, at 9:30. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Visiting Hours at the Funeral Home are on Friday, May 16, from 4 thru 8 p.m.
