Donna Slough Ivey, age 50, died Friday, January 9, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born September 12, 1958 in Water Valley, MS to Ford and Martha Shepherd Slough. She was a homemaker and was a member of Campground Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 12, 2009 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. The service will be held in the Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 with Bro. David Ross officiating. Following cremation, burial will take place at Driver’s Flat Cemetery in Calhoun County, MS on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Ivey of Water Valley, MS; a daughter, Marty Baker of Water Valley, MS; her father, Ford Slough of Portageville, MO; a step-daughter, Melanie Ivey of Lakeland, FL; two step-sons, Zackery Ivey of Lakeland, FL and Jacob Ivey of Michigan City, IN; a sister, Jeanie Douglas of Water Valley, MS; Two step-sisters, Emily Williams of Parland, TX and Louise Decker of Taylor, Michigan; a brother, Joey Story of Bruce, MS; eight step-brothers, Eddie Allen of Denver, CO, Brian (Tammy) Allen of Denver, NC, Michael (Mary Ann) Allen of Portageville, MO, Darin (Candace) Allen of Portageville, MO; Walter Story of Water Valley, MS, Herman Story of Oxford, MS, John Story of Taylor, Michigan, Rick Story of Knoxville, TN, three grandchildren, Cheyanna Baker, Brian Darby, and Karie Alaysa Ivey, and four nieces, Donna Jo Douglas, Kelly Corinne Douglas, Adeline Jean Douglas, and Kennedy Claire Story.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Shepherd Caulder, and a brother, Kelly Dewell Slough.
