ANDOVER: Albert A. Talarico, age 90, a resident of Andover for over 45 years, passed away on Thursday evening, January 8, 2008 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.
He was the beloved husband of Charlotte (Dargie) Talarico, with whom he celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on September 28, 2008.
Born in New York City, New York on April 15, 1918, he was the son of the late Federico Talarico and the late Marie F. (Tallarico) Talarico.
Mr. Talarico was raised in New York City and graduated from Stauben Muller High School. Following graduation he attended the Philadelphia Textile Institute.
Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was employed as a textile stylist by Thomas Taylor & Sons Textile Company of Hudson, MA.
Mr. Talarico previously worked for the Malden Mills, J.P. Stevens and Daniel Fuller Fabrics Companies.
He was a communicant of Saint Robert Bellarmine Parish of West Andover, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 10877.
Mr. Talarico enjoyed playing cards, gardening and golfing.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Ednie and her husband Raymond of East Stroudsburg, PA; one grandson, Sean A. Ednie of East Stroudsburg, PA; two brothers-in-law, Philip Dargie and his wife Jean of Merrimack, NH and Paul Dargie and his wife Ruth of Cumberland, RI; also several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Talarico was the brother of the late Vincenza Galante and Edward Talarico.
There will be No Calling Hours. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass to be celebrated Monday, January 12th at 11 a.m., at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover. Interment will be held at a later date at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
