Laconia-Michael Robert Freeman, 37, of 175 Blueberry Lane died Friday morning, January 9, 2009 at Laconia Center-Genesis Healthcare after a period of declining health.
Michael was born in Laconia on December 30, 1971 the son of the late Yvonne L. (Fitts) Barker and had been a lifelong resident of the Laconia.
Michael was a graduate of Laconia High School class of 1991. He enjoyed watching many different sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed playing bingo and delivering mail to the residents at Genesis Healthcare Center.
Besides his mother, Michael was predeceased by his grandfather, Verner R. “Joe” Fitts.
Michael is survived by his brother, Jonn R. Freeman of Laconia; his grandmother, Elsie B. Fitts also of Laconia; two uncles, Verner R. Fitts, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, and David W. Fitts of Oakdale, Connecticut. He is also survived by his two nieces, Brittany and Ciarra; and nephew, Joshua.
Visiting hours were on Monday, January 12, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street.
