Obituary

DRACUT - Antonia J. "Tootsie" (Olszanski) Witkos, 92, a lifelong resident of Dracut, died Thursday January 8th at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frederick Witkos who died in 1981.

She was born in Lowell on October 1, 1916, and she was the daughter of the late Antony and Anna (Jajuga) Olszanski.

Prior to her retirement, Tootsie was employed for many years as a lab technician by Dynamic Research Company in Woburn.

She was an active communicant of the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell, and was a member of of the church's Senior Citizens Club and the Sodality of Czestochowa.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Carol Witkos of Haverhill; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Stephen Araskiewicz, and Kathy and Richard Vinal, all of Dracut; four grandchildren, Heather Araskiewicz of Lowell, LeeAnn Ryder of Blackstone, Richard Vinal of Dracut, and Kristine Vinal of Dracut; two great grandchildren, Samantha and Alexandra Ryder of Blackstone; a sister Victoria Szetela of Lowell; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was also the sister of the late Sophie Olszanski.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, on Sunday from 2 until 6 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Monday at 9 AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church in Lowell.
