Walter J. Warzeka 89, of Dover Avenue, East Providence, died Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of the late Marie Lorraine (Donais) Warzeka, RN.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Adam and Katherine (Kacek) Warzecha. He lived in East Providence for 45 years.
Mr. Warzeka was an accountant for the former G.T. Schjdahl Company in East Providence before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a WWII Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by two sons Thomas W. Warzeka of East Providence and John F. Warzeka of Cranston, a grandson, Ryan J. Warzeka, his siblings, Adam Warzecha of North Providence, and Theresa Daley of California. He was the grandfather of the late David Warzeka and brother of the late Veronica Duhamel, Nora Fecteau, Nellie Angelone and Jeanne Dunbar
Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10am in St. Martha’s Church , 2595 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial with Military honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visitation Sunday 2-5pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
