Windle, Carole Mentzer
Of Bonita Springs, Florida and Dennisport, Cape Cod, formerly a Wellesley resident for nearly 40 years. Entered into rest in Dover at age 69 on January 7, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Survived by beloved husband of 48 years Thomas M. Windle. Devoted mother of Cheryle Young and her husband Michael Young of Boston and Chatham. Jacalyn (Jill) Windle and her husband John Wyatt of Dover. Thomas Windle and his wife Shelly Augustine Windle of Dover. Cherished Grandmother of Robert, Lauren, Griffin, Rachel, Jonathan, and Thomas. Survived by brothers Donald Mentzer of Worcester, Stephen Mentzer of Jefferson, and Robert Mentzer of Worcester and sister Jacalyn Mioglionico of Holden. Also survived by 20 nieces and nephews and many friends.
She gave tirelessly of herself to friends and family throughout her life including service to many town, charitable, and school activities. Your love in our hearts we will eternally keep.
Private interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley followed by a memorial service for relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 13th at 2:30 PM at the Wellesley Congregational Church. Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. WELLESLEY on Sunday, January 11th from 3-6pm.
