Thomas L. Nee, 82, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Tower Hill Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Canton on Monday, January 5. He was the husband of Joyce M. (Tobin) Nee. Born and raised in Boston, he was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years. A Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Nee was a World War II Veteran. He was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Quincy for over 30 years before retiring at age 55. He was a member of the VFW Post 1645 and the Striar Community Center both in Stoughton.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Nee is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Nee and his wife Christine of FL and Robert B. Nee and his wife Susan of Sandwich, as well as his grandchildren, Scott, Colleen, Kaitlyn, Patrick and Michael Nee. He was the brother of Mary Casey of W. Roxbury, Eileen Taylor of ME, John Nee of Dennis and the late Kathleen Moore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, January 9 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 9-11 AM. Burial will take place at Dry Pond Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in Thomas’ name may be made to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
