Ruth C. (Testa) Armendo, 87, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, Jan. 6 in the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, surrounded by her family.
Her husband George J. Armendo died in 1969. She leaves three daughters, Ann M. Armendo of West Boylston, Donna M. Fay and her husband William J. of West Boylston and Bonnie M. Houkal and her husband John of Louisville, CO; four grandsons, William J. Fay and his wife Tamara A. of West Boylston, Michael J. Fay and his partner Sven Koppany of South Boston, Nicholas J. Houkal and his wife Kimberly of Littleton, CO and Joseph J. Houkal of Louisville, CO; three great-granddaughters, Ella, Lily and Alana Fay all of West Boylston. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Annie F. (Kane) Testa and graduated from Classical High School.
Ruth was a bookkeeper for the former Palson’s Office Supply on Main Street in Worcester, for many years before retiring. The family would like to thank the entire staff, especially the second floor at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and skilled Nursing Center, for their excellent care.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 8, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 12:30 PM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Thursday, Jan. 8, from 10:30 to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
