Sandra L. (Reed) Embleton, 64, of New Bedford died Saturday January 3, 2009 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. She was the wife of Frank R. Embleton.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Leonard and Ruth (Lackie) Reed, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Robin Carreiro and her husband Jeri of Fall River; two granddaughters, Jerica and Felicia Carreiro; eight siblings, Mary Goring of Michigan, Deborah Viveiros of Fairhaven, Ruth Domingos, Rosemary Samson, Allen, Ralph, John "Butch", and George Reed, all of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Leonard "Porky" Reed and Carol DeMello.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
