Barbara T. (Hare) Phillips, age 78, died on Wednesday May 7, 2003 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She is the beloved wife of the late John Phillips.She was born in Medford on February 8, 1925 a daughter to the late Charles P. and Elizabeth (Foley) Hare. Barbara was raised and educated in Medford graduating Medford High School.Barbara was employed as a beautician/manager for the Beauty Pavillion for many years. She was a communicant of St. Josephs Church in Medford. As a devoted mother and wife, she will be sorely missed as she enjoyed spending time with family.She is the loving mother of Robert T. and his wife Trenace A. Saint John of Lochmere, N.H. and Peter T. Phillips and his domestic partner, Kimberly A. Noftle, both of Revere. Beloved aunt of Shirley Baker of Falmouth. Dear friend of Virginia Theodore of Chelsea. Step-mother of Robert and his wife Leslie Phillips of Malden and John Falon of Everett. Cherished grandmother of Scott, Alex, Robert, Ashlee, Chris, Cassie, Edward, and John. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Augustus.Funeral from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Saturday at 8 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Raphael’s Church, 514 High Street, Medford at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
