WORCESTER-Shirley J. (Browine) Waller, 65, of Worcester, died Wednesday, December 31st in UMass Memorial Hospital. Her husband, David A. Waller died October 3, 1989. She leaves her best friend, Kenny Delude of Worcester; her daughter, Pearnilla J. Irving of Worcester; two sisters, Addie Mae Tutt of Philadelphia, PA and Hattie Mae Peoples of Fayetteville, NC; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
She was born in Greensborough, NC, the daughter of Walter and Lily Mae (Beasley) Browine. Mrs. Waller received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She was a member of Belmont AME Zion Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending church and choir practice.
The funeral is Tuesday, January 6th with a service at 1:00 P.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private. A calling hour will be held Tuesday from Noon until 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
