Obituary

TENBROECK-

Stanton Jacob III, died on May 9,2003, after a prolonged illness, he was 74 years old.

He was born in Boston , Massachusetts on July 5,1928 ,he was the son of the late Stanton Jacob TenBroeck, Jr. and Lorraine (Wood) TenBroeck of Newton Centre,MA. and theGrandson of the late Doctor and Mrs. Stanton Jacob TenBroeck of Orange,MA and the Reverend and Mrs. Herbert Luther Wood of Ashland,NH.

His primary education was in the Newton schools, after which he attended the Noble And Greenough School and the New Hampton School ,and graduated from Newton High School in 1949. He later attended the University of Florida at Gainsville,FLA.

Following college he was associated with the Newton Waltham Bank in Newton Centre and subsequently, ,for twenty-nine years, with the Merchants Bank of Boston, which later became the Bank of New England.

Following family tradition, he became a Free Mason, York Rite, and ascended to the highest order, that of Thirty-second Degree Mason. He was associated with the Nurembega Lodge. Mr. TenBroeck was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Newton Centre, serving on its Vestry for a number of years.

He is survived by his brother, Peter D. TenBroeck and his wife, Suzzane,of Framingham; his sister, Janet TenBroeck Pierce and her husband,Donald S. Pierce, M.D. of Wellesley; nephews P. Derek TenBroeck , Jr. of Pepperell, D. Shelton Pierce Jr. of North Attleborough, Stanton T.B. Pierce, of Alpheretta,GA, and Frederick E. Pierce,II, of Wellesley: nieces Christina TenBroeck Salmonetti of Pepperell and, Jennifer Pierce Barr of Bronxville, NY, fifteen great-nieces and nephews, and his closest friend of many years, Arthur Gosdanian, of Brookline.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday May 13,2003 from the Trinity Episcopal Church, corner of Center and Homer streets Newton Centre. A collation will immediately follow the service in the church hall. Interment will be in Newton cemetery.

Visiting hours will be on Monday May 12,2003 from 4-7 P.M. in the Parish Hall of Saint Andrews Church, Maple Street, Framingham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Parkinson’s Disease Association, 1250 Hylan Blvd. Suite 4B, Staten Island, NY 10305.Arrangements by the Sheehan Funeral Home, Stoughton.
