No. Andover - Margaret G. (Reilly) Klem, age 85, died peacefully Tuesday evening, Dec. 30, at her North Andover home, following a long period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Bernard R. Klem, who died in 1973.
She was born in Detroit Michigan, on August 4, 1923, a daughter of the late Nicholas J. and Pearl (Thompson) Reilly, and had lived in the Detroit area most of her life. She was employed by Michigan Bell as a secretary until her retirement. She lived as a "snowbird" between Detroit and Venice, Florida after her retirement.
She was described by her family as a woman of great faith and a devout Catholic.
She is survived by two daughters, Gail Anne Milton of Mt. Clemens, MI, Linda Louise Klem of Wakefield, MA; three sons, Michael Bernard Klem and his wife Grace of Dracut, Lawrence Richard Klem and his wife Debbie of Cookeville, TN, and John Joseph Klem of No. Andover; five grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas and Rebecca, Jeffrey Alexander and Kathryn Anne Klem; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lena Reilly of MI; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will will be held Saturday, January 17, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Merrimack Valley VNA Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg 5, Lawrence, MA 01843 will be appreciated.
