Obituary

July 20, 1933 – December 24, 2008

Loving and devoted daughter, mother and grandmother, Joan passed away peacefully on the morning of December 24th following a long illness.

Born in Quincy, MA 1933, she lived her adult life raising her children in her home in Brockton. She is survived by her four children Alan Di Bona, Linda Di Bona, Cheryl Mc Colgan, Sandra Di Bona and her brother George Traynor.

Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her family, especially during the holidays. She will forever be remembered for bringing us all together and teaching us the art of love and acceptance.

A memorial gathering is scheduled at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton for Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 5pm till 7pm. We request any donations made on her behalf go to Signature Healthcare Foundation. 680 Centre St. Brockton, MA 02302. Flowers may be sent to Conley Funeral Home.

Rest in Peace Mom

I Did Not Die
author unknown

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn's rain.

When you wake up to morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.

I am not there. I did not die.
