Jennifer D. Atkins, 34 years of Brockton died Sunday December 28, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was born in Arlington and raised in Brockton the loving daughter of William M. and Christine L. (Hayden) Atkins of Brockton. A 1993 graduate of Brockton High School, Jennifer worked for many years in the banking profession including Webster Bank (formerly Peoples Savings and First Fed) and Rockland Trust. She enjoyed music, comedy movies, walking and time spent with family and friends. Jennifer also loved animals especially her dog Max.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her sister and best friend Melissa Atkins of Brockton. She was the granddaughter of Albert Hayden and his wife Jeanne of Sharon and the late Barbara Hayden, Herbert and Ellen Atkins. She was the niece of Denise Hayden of Brockton, Judith Taylor of Maine, Patricia Curley of Quincy and Edward Atkins of Stoughton. She also leaves a great aunt Anna Whyte of Malden and many cousins.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm. Donations in Jen’s name may be made to MSPCA 1300 West Elm Street, Ext. Brockton, MA 02301.
