Maurice A. “Pitou” Nadeau, 66 of Arnold Ave. North Smithfield died Christmas Day at the Landmark Medical Center. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of Marie Rose (Girard) Nadeau and the late Joseph Nadeau. “Pitou” was a bench worker for the ARC of Northern RI until November of this year. He loved dancing and bingo, and especially enjoyed the company of his loving family.
“Pitou is survived by two brothers; Theodore Nadeau and his wife Simone of Poinciana, FL, Roger Nadeau and his wife Claudette of Uxbridge, MA, a sister Georgette Houle of North Smithfield, and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 99 Cumberland St, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave, Woonsocket. Visiting hours will be Monday from 6-8 pm. Interment will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
