DOUGLAS
Gail D. (Johnson) Adamiak, 59, of Douglas passed away Fri., Dec. 26 at her home.
She leaves her husband of 37 years, Arthur F. Adamiak; two children, Robert J. and his wife Colleen Adamiak of Worcester and Heather M. and her husband Nat Fairbanks of Merrimack, NH; two grandchildren, Clayton and Camden; a sister, Louise and her husband Ralph Simkonis of Worcester and nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Arnold and Virginia (Anderson) Johnson and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School.
Gail was a Nurse for 34 years, most recently working at UMASS Memorial Medical Center on Belmont Street in Worcester. She was a member of St. John’s Church and the Massachusetts Nurses Assoc. Gail loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, going to the beach, antique cars and her many basset hounds over the years. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be deeply missed.
The funeral will be held Mon., Dec. 29, from Lindquist Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler St. Worcester with a Mass at 11:30 AM in St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Sun., Dec. 28, from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
