Ann Walker Womack, 93, of Tifton, died early Thursday morning, December 25, 2008, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, December 27, 2008, in the Ocilla Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 Saturday morning at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Womack was born September 6, 1915 in Irwin County to the late James (Jim) and Pollie Dixon Walker. She had lived in Tifton for many years and was a former resident of Ocilla and Lake Wales, FL. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Hybernia’s in Ocilla. Mrs.Womack attended New River Baptist Church in Tifton and was a former member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
She is survived by a Sister-in-law, Ethel Walker of Tifton and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, J.E. “Bubba” Howell and daughter, Connie Howell, 5 Sisters and 7 brothers.
