Obituary

Edith A. Ferguson (Greaves),86, of Pocasset Bay Manor, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late James A. Ferguson.
Born in Hudson Falls, NY, a daughter of the late Fred and Mabel (Bramhall) Greaves. She had previously lived on Village Drive in Smithfield.
Mrs. Ferguson was a former Mother Advisor, a member of the Rainbow Girls, Centredale Assembly, Grand Cross of Colors, past president of St. James Guild and the Happy Notes. She was the president of the Esmond Village Tenants Assn since 1997.
She is survived by her children, James A. Ferguson of Homestead, FL, Edith A. “De-De” Forrest of Smithfield and Barbara M. Baynes of Jamstown, eleven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a sister, Joan Sparadeau of North Providence, godmother of Meredith Heelon. She was the sister of the late Fred Greaves and Mildred Priestley and stepmother of the late Thomas B. Ferguson.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 27 at 2pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation 1-2pm. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to In-sight, 43 Jefferson Blvd, Warwick, RI 02888.
