Ellen Keaney of Duxbury formerly of Needham, died at her home on Saturday May 3rd. Born in Dublin Ireland, She came to this country in 1927 and worked as a attendant Nurse at the Shattick Hospital for 20 years until her retirement in 1977. Mrs. Keaney has been a summer resident of Duxbury since 1949 and moved down full time 5 years ago. Ellen was the beloved wife of the late Eugene, and dear mother of Margaret Brennan of Stafford VA, Helen Corbett of Dorchester, Elaine Keaney of Milford, Eugene of Gautier MI, John of Lusby MD, Rosemarie Mascari of Ashland, Joan Rehfield of Duxbury and the late William and James Keaney. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham on Thursday May 8 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Joseph Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials in Ellen’s memory may be made to the Carmelite Sisters Convent, 61 Mt.
