Vericker, Frances T., loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and true and loyal friend passed away suddenly on December 18, 2008. Her remarkable life began with her birth on May 22, 1927 in Manhattan, New York to the late William and Elizabeth Kelly (nee Curran). After the death of her father in 1938, Frances helped her mother raise three younger siblings. In 1949 she married the love of her life, William A. Vericker. They recently celebrated their 59th anniversary. Proud mother of six sons, Frances also spent many years working in the Personnel Department of Bloomingdales in Hackensack where she met many lifelong friends. Very active in Sacred Heart Church in Haworth, Frances also took time to feed the less fortunate at Eva’s Kitchen in Paterson. A vital woman who never lost her zest for life and immensely proud of her family and Irish heritage, she is survived by her husband William A. of New Milford, sons William T., of Bronx, NY, Daniel J. of Bergenfield, Kevin F. of Miami Beach, FL, Stephen G. of Cathedral City, CA, and Chris E. of Franklin, MA. Her son Thomas G. predeceased her in 1994. She is also survived by grandchildren Michael, David, Mathew, Madalaine, Caroline and Carly, her brother James Kelly of San Jose, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her many dear friends. Funeral service Tuesday 9AM from the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell then to Sacred Heart RC Church for a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial, interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday 7-9PM and Monday 2-4 & 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the Franciscan Bread Line, 135 W. 31st Street, New York, NY 10001.
