NEW BEDFORD … Claire M. (Marchand) Viveiros, 76, of Fall River died Friday, December 19, 2008 after a long illness.
She was the wife of Manuel Viveiros, Jr.
She died at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Emile and Evelina (Caron) Marchand and had been a life long resident of this city.
She was a C.N.A. for ten yrs. At the Catholic Memorial Home, Fall River and was a bus aide for handicapped children for Tremblay’s Bus Co. retiring in 1995.
Mrs. Viveiros was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Fall River.
Survivors include her widower, a daughter Sandra M. Lopes of New Bedford, a brother Raymond “Pete” Marchand of Swansea, 2 grandchildren: Edward M. Pacheco of Dartmouth and Delilah Edmonds-Viveiros of Dartmouth, 4 great grandchildren: Kayla, Ashley, Katelyn, and Marissa, several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Roger Viveiros.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, 529 Eastern Ave., at 11AM. Calling hours Monday 9 – 10:30 AM. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in her memory to High Hopes Fund c/o Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
